:???:
I'm now over 10K on a 2001 TT600 - I had major service at 8K, should I also have another major at 12K to fit the new schedule, or should I go minor, minor and wait till 24K for the next major (or should I just go by years, minor this one, major next year)?
Advice appreciated ... Ta!

I was coming up on my 8,000 mile check and at the advice of my mechanic (not the thieving sc*m bag type) I did the 8,000 and will do another at 12,000 just to get "on the programme".

The service intervals have changed due to the quality of oils now used (according to my local dealer) so basically instead of every 4000 you can have a service every 6000. I had my TT serviced every 4 and it was pointless, even the valve check at 20k showed no change from factory settings. If you wanted to be really thourough, you could do an oil change yourself every 3,000. If there's anything else playing up it could be looked at when you get your tyres changed every 4,000 odd
