hinckleyboy, did you get the hugger from the dealership or have you seen them online anywhere? $160 doesn't seem bad and you're definitely right, i want to keep all the ***** from building up on my swingarm and shock.

I paid $150 for the Triumph hugger for my S4. It's made out of plastic with a fake carbon fiber imprint on the outside surface. It works fine except that the bracket that goes under the rubber swing arm chain guard lifts the rubber up so that the chain causes undue wear. I cut off that bracket and it still holds on tight by the other attachments.

I don't know of any other hugger for the S4 (or the TT600?).

ERMAX & SECDEM both do colour matched huggers fot TT600/S4
I can't recomend the Triumph fake Carbon Fibre/Fiber one as mine deformed after 15 months to the point that when I had a new tyre fitted it was touching so had to raise the hugger with washers to stop it fouling.

I had the Triumph carbon one on mine. looked great and the best bit was the dirt doesn't show up. The yellow one on my D650 gets filthy the second a drop of rain falls.

I got the triumph fake CF hugger and I'm gonna cut that bracket off. I'm sick and tired of the noise and people telling me that my chain sounds like it's gonna snap.

TTsixxer,

I don't think you should be hearing anything. If you do, it may be that the rubber protector has worn through and the chain may be rubbing on the swingarm.

I have the Triumph hugger too.
The chain wore through the rubber and made a hell of a racket rubbing on the hugger bracket.
I cut that piece of bracket off, and replaced the rubber.
I was able to do it without removal of the swing arm.
It took a little patience (cussing/swearing) , but the rubber strip is pretty flexible. haven't experienced any problems after 1500 miles
