Hi all-

I am currently riding a S3 and I really love the bike - except for the lack of wind protection when I'm on longer rides. I have a possible opportunity to pick up a beauty of an '04 D6, but I'd have to sell my S3 first. Before I even consider it, I need to know if the wind protection is any good. Thanks.

Did you know that laminarlip.com makes a screen for the S3? If that is the only reason you are selling, I'd look into it first I have one on my S4 (exact same pixie hat) and it works great. For $75!

BTW I reagularly tour on my S4 350+ days, buffeting is drastically improved with the screen addition...

Yeah, I considered it, but I'm not totally keen on the looks of the laminarlip (although yours looks nice

the wind protection on the D6 is as good as any other full faired sports bike wich is a lot more then the speed4 which I owned before the D6. it's just a matter of choice.

I do love both bike tough!

also I rode the D6 without the cockpit (crash the thing

) and I can tell that there is a huge difference in term of wind protection.

it start to be anoying over 180km/h
