Hi all-

I am currently riding a S3 and I really love the bike - except for the lack of wind protection when I'm on longer rides. I have a possible opportunity to pick up a beauty of an '04 D6, but I'd have to sell my S3 first. Before I even consider it, I need to know if the wind protection is any good. Thanks.

Dan

Did you know that laminarlip.com makes a screen for the S3? If that is the only reason you are selling, I'd look into it first I have one on my S4 (exact same pixie hat) and it works great. For $75!

Check it out...

Cheers!!!

BTW I reagularly tour on my S4 350+ days, buffeting is drastically improved with the screen addition...

Yeah, I considered it, but I'm not totally keen on the looks of the laminarlip (although yours looks nice )

the wind protection on the D6 is as good as any other full faired sports bike wich is a lot more then the speed4 which I owned before the D6. it's just a matter of choice.

I do love both bike tough!

also I rode the D6 without the cockpit (crash the thing ) and I can tell that there is a huge difference in term of wind protection.

it start to be anoying over 180km/h

this is how I ride it temporarily while I'm repairing the fairings:
