what type of chain comes standard with the S4? I thought it was O, I'm having a chain replaced and the garage said ooooh thats a X chain you need, hence more expensive. Anyone tell me whos right?

As far as what came on our bikes, I'm not totally sure. I just purchased a DID O-ring for my bike, which is totally fine. It's my understanding that unless you're racing, you don't need the X-ring. A friend of mine is the parts guy at the local Honda shop, said pretty much all street 600's run O-rings, unless, like I said, it's a nothing-but-racing bike. Hope that helps.

Treehugger, I had to replace my chain a little bit ago and my dealer purchased me a 525 XSO chain by RK. I checked online and that chain fits in the X-ring category. Here is a link:

Just had a quick look at a couple of dealers and the Triumph site and they all say X-ring chain.
