I installed a neat integrated LED tail lamp yesterday and today I noticed the ODO is not reading anything (0mph, and mileage not recording). I'm assuming the ground for the signal is what is causing this since it's not plugged to anything. Have you run into this and how do you fix it?

This is in a 2004 Daytona 600

Update: I just jumped on it for lunch this afternoon and the ODO and Speedo were fine... weird.

TBH from what you've said I'd be inclined to look for a loose connection that you might have jogged when you were working.

I mean if the tail light is working as it should then you shouldn't be able to do much that will stop the clocks working. Would have thought the two are completely separate apart from at the battery.

That or if they go off again just unplug the tail light completely and see if they come back on... If not you'll know for definite it's not that.
