How long was it stored for?
Was anything up when you took it off the road?

Sounds kind of injection related to me

TT600 Stalling Problem

As there are a few tips there relating to starting problems particularly Will's point re the tip-over valve. Good luck

I am at a complete loss to tell you why your bike is behaving like that. It sounds like it is running really lean for some reason. Is there a possiblity that something got into the fuel tank that could clog the pump or a fuel line?
