anyone know if an unfaired version is on the cards? I hear the demons whispering "buy it" already.

Take a look at today's story here

http://www.motorcycledaily.com/

No interest if it's just another faired sport bike or a big cruiser.

no offence, but it looks like another jap bike. to the punter on the street your just another motorbike. I was under the impression triumphs were the opposite of that. it doesnt look innovative it just looks like its played catch up, regardless of whats under the fairing. 1/2 a point for a funny looking tank...

Treehugger your right it does look like a jap bike noticeably like a kawasaki but i suppose to to the average punter that is the only way to get bikes sold as a lot of bikers don't like anything radical or different which is a shame but i was told majority of bikers are like sheep and won't try anything different. How many good bikes have been dropped because the british bike press couldn't pigeon hole them just look at the speed four the best naked 600 on the market and i know because i owned a hornet, test rode a fazer and had a lend of a bandit all good bikes, don't get me wrong i just happen to think the s4 a better bike after all i did part ex a firestorm for the s4 which isn't a half bad bike either.

Yeah, too bad if the new 680 triple isn't a powered up style S4 or smaller S3, or even a scaled down Tiger. I'd buy any of those, but not another faired sport bike.
