Double can on a TT?

My Pal is getting a TT and wants to put a Double exhaust system on it , is this possible??

Anything is possible - depends on time, money and skill. There is no reason you could not fabricate a dual exhaust - I just don't think it would be worth the $$$ or time to make one - would look cool though.....

I guess as the stock and race cans are so carefully engineered for a set flow range that he may struggle to get it right. Something like that would definitly require a remap as I'm sure it would start to draw it to over lean combustion. I'm not sure whether the dealers would have something available so it maybe a case of getting a power commander as well.

My previous bike was a 650 thumper with twin pipes and that was very lean burning (supposedly for emissions reasons). It used to backfire constantly scattering pedestrians everywhere!

I think with a ruthless mind you could easily chop and change the bike to fit it. Worth a try though, think it would look pretty sweet if he manages it. Is he planning to use standard end cans or race jobs?
