Quick question for Speed Four owners
I've been thinking of taking my fairings off my TT 600 and making it similar to the Speed Four. Only problem is...
the coolant reservoir on the TT's left side is quite ugly and stands out a lot.
I have looked at pics of the Speed Four but I can't see it anywhere on that bike.
Where exactly is it located on that bike? Is it under the seat some where?
Would greatly appreciate the help, thanks.
Hopefully I won't have a problem sourcing the Speed Four air intakes and the possibly alternate location coolant reservoir.

I broke my original S4 radiator and put a TT600 one on there, so the coolant reservoir sticks out. I don't mind too much, but I also don't have any plastics on the bike whatsoever.
You could run it without the torpedo launcher intakes. I've seen some stuntbikes that don't use intake tubes, though I think they need to be tuned.

Found a pic of a 'prototype' for the Speed Four, and it looks exactly as mine would if I took the fairings off and added those lights.

Doesn't look too too bad actually, although that one seems to have a relocated coolant reservoir.
Hmm, wonder how hard it would be to relocate the one on my bike

I don't think it'd be too hard. If I remember correctly, the reservoir is just kind of more rectangular and has a long tube to hook up to the radiator. If I can find the S4 reservoir I'll take a picture of it and the stock S4 radiator.
The dual bug eye headlights are really expensive. When I was rebuilding my S4 after a crash I just went for a single headlight, a long cruiser style one. I would've bought one of the acerbis fairings, but they seem to be of dubious quality and utility lightwise.

The parts to convert to a Speed Four are usually not easy to find or cheap to buy. As Pete2 said, the overflow tank is located on the outside of the rear subframe, under the right tail fairing. You will need to remove the fairing and drill mounting holes in the subframe. You'll also need about 7 or 8 feet of hose to make it from the radiator to the tank and from the tank overflow outlet to the ground. You can run the TT600 radiator; it will just have the two threaded bungs sticking out on the side.
You will need the headlight bracket off an 02-04 Speed Triple or any year S4 that has the instrument panel mount. You can use headlights off the S3 or the S4, although the styles differ from years. You'll have to do some wiring modification to accept two headlight instead of one. The headlights and bracket will cost you the most. Some people have used aftermarket single headlight setups, but I've heard bad reviews about the quality of some common manufacturers.
I think running a TT600 or S4 without intake tubes, or running just the black inner tubes, is just about the ugliest thing someone can do the a TT600/S4. The two gaping holes in the frame and the fairing mount threaded inserts are not attractive, it makes the bike look like someone haphazardly threw it back together after wrecking it, and it eliminates some of the ram-air affect, as less air is directed straight into the airbox and instead has to bounce off the frame before finding its way it. Used S4 intake tubes are usually hard to come by, and you'll need to drill holes in the frame to mount them.
It's a doable project, but if you want to do a professional job that looks good, it isn't just removing parts from one motorcycle and bolting them on another, or simply leaving parts off (like the air intakes).

If you're interested in a single headlight setup, you could try using headlight ears that clamp to the fork tubes. That would be more affordable than looking for a full setup and you could choose your headlight.
