Question New to Triumph, need some 2003 speed 4 info...

Well I'm new to the Triumph scene and I'm looking for some info, i just bought a 2003 speed 4 with 11,448 miles on the engine. I'm looking for a site that has a Vin check so i know what recalls were done to the bike and what type of service is needed? I remember reading something about a 12,000 miles service which is a big service but i wanted to make sure...
any input helps, thanks
-Shawn

Here's the nhtsa website with info on the recall. If you have a manual you should see a listing for service intervals, etc. 12K is a big deal.

any idea how much the 12,000 service should be?

I'm getting the bike for $2,500.
Then i went to my local Triumph dealer and the service manager said the service should be between 700-1000 bucks? does that sound correct, or are they ripping me off?

The big thing at 12k is the valves, but IIRC Triumph pushed that out to 14 or 15k.

Other stuff is SoP, plugs, brakes, filters, coolant, brake fluid, etc.
