Wont start but Bickfires

I have an 01 Triumph TT600 (40k mi) and took it apart to fix an oil leak from the “top gasket”. After putting it back together I shot some injector cleaner in on the valves ( I am betting my problem) because the valves were gunky. It started up (check engine light came on) with a lot of white smoke but I took it around the block.

Then next day it does not turn over but has a loud backfire, it will act like it wants to start but then backfires.

Took it apart checked the plugs (autolite's) gap is .03in two were a little wet so I dried them and put back in. still no start just backfire. Took plugs out again and they are dry.

I have let it set for 3 day but still no luck. Dealer can get me in, in about 2 weeks but I want to ride if I can fix it.

Please help. Thank you

Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon.

Depending on how much injector cleaner you poured into the throttle bodies, some could have found its way into the IACV (the quadropus looking thing with the large hose attaching to the airbox). If there is a malfunction in the IACV (i.e. fluid or other debris in it), it can cause hard starts and backfiring. The injector cleaner being in the combustion chambers and intake runners is not going to cause the issue you describe.
