A non triumph mechanic told me that you should buy oem fork seals because after market ones won't fit exactly right. (a little tight or loose) Since doing the forks takes more time than money (if you are doing it yourself) I thought it was worth spending a little extra money on oem. Not sure if it's true though. I just didn't feel like having to redo the job.

Ive got aftermarket seals for an R6 fitted on my bike without any problems although they only have one sealing lip whereas the originals had two

I'm pretty sure that the forks are 43mm, not 35. If you look at the alternate parts sticky at the top of the thread, I posted something a while back about Suzuki KL650A? seals. I'm thinking the A was the important part, but they're like 6.50 from your local suzuki dealer.

I haven't looked at my post, if the KL isn't it, it's in the post. My memory is a little fuzzy.

Josh

(The suzuki one is double lipped and the exact same as the OEM)

I renewed mine a couple of months ago.

Used Tucker-Rocky p/n 429022 (Bikemaster brand)
size:43x55x10.5

These fit several old Yamaha dirt bikes (82 YZ500!), but are listed specifically for 43mm Kayaba forks.

Hope this helps,

Scott

Alot of the old yammies used those sized fork seals. If you cross-reference the size info, you can find a whole host of bikes that have them. I tried those initially, but the only ones I could find were single lipped, not double lipped like the ones that came on the bike and it didn't take too long until it was leaking again.

Come to think of it, it's leaking again right now, so that's a bummer. Double lipped seal and all. Thankfully, I've got that Daytona 675 in the garage to occupy my time while I think of how much I hate changing fork seals on the TT. Not because it's hard, but more because it's a PITA and there i've yet to manage to keep myself from getting all filled with fork oil when I do it. I do have a fork-seal cleaner from my dirtbike that I'll try before I actually change it, when I get around to it.
