Do we have a speedo cable on the TT600s? Sorry but I'm new to this bike.

I've experienced some strange things with other bikes speedos due to what ended up being a bad cable.

If it's electronic, maybe try removing the sensor on the axle and cleaning it well.

Pull the wheel and inspect the speedo sender
Most likely magnet is broken but may be simply that the drive ring is not engaged in the magnet - when you turn it backwards it is hooking up. (the sender will detect regardless of wheel direction)

If your magnet is whole, then check to see the drive plate is straight (it's quite soft) and when you go to re-fit the wheel, first insert the dirve into the wheel, ensuring that the 'dogs' of the drive plate are properly engaged iin the magnet slots.

If it's broken, VERY expensive replacement - there is no magnet available as individual line-item, so you must buy entore sender.
however here is low cost solution - and you will never have that problem again!

speedo sensor fix

Hey guys, i had the same problem on my tt, the magnet was split in two. The price for a new one was over 150, so i decided to fix the problem myself. Baisicly i made an aluminum ring the size of the existing magnet, and added neodyme? magnets to it...its with in 2 mph of what my hand held gps says so i think it worked pretty well! It cost me about $20 to fix and it should last the life of the bike! I can make this part for anyone that wants it, it will cost around $65 with the magnets ready to go, or i can send you a blueprint of the part. let me know, my email is jmz4437@yahoo.com
i will post some pics soon!

I posted a few photos of the one I designed and had made. It works great. I made it out of a wear resistant nylon.

I paid $65 for the first one from my cad file if a few people wanted the cost would go down.

I can supply the cad file if you want to have your own made.
