Blinker insanity Daytona 600!

I am trying to get the blinkers on my daytona 600 to work to no avail. I have all new bulbs, circuit breakers are good, I used a generic flasher (which could be the problem). Whenever I try to switch on either blinker there is absolutely no light on either side front or back. I took the flashers out from under the seat and tried to plug them into the front flasher mount (where I used the generic one) but it still didnt turn the blinkers on. The front flasher is a 5 prong, 12volt which is the kind of generic one I bought. Id rather not spend the $70 on a flasher from the dealer but I might be stuck. Thought Id ask you guys first.

Cheers,
Tim

Get the correct flasher for your application.
You don't need to buy from dealer
You can even get electronic relay from somehwere like superbrightlds for under $20.

Incidentally flasher is not a 5-pin relay.

Electronic flasher will work for either incandescent or LED - either way.
All the Triumphs are same - you need a European application - same as BMW's incidentally.

Select the CF13GL-02 from the pull down menu in the one with the pic of the red relay.

Back to your original post again - if you identified a relay position with a 5-pin relay that is NOT the flasher relay. You must have the wrong slot.

As I recall, it's exactly the same part as for a VW Jetta or Golf. My memory is getting a bit murky, unfortunately.

Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon.

Decosse thanks for your help. There is what seems to be an empty flasher socket behind the headlight of my bike and the blinker didnt work so I assumed that that was the place for the flasher. There are 4 other flasher looking pieces under the seat. I cant figure out which one controls the blinker. Im not too good at reading electrical diagrams but if you know where I can get one that would be great. Ill follow your advice on your last post and see what I come up with.

Where are you located?
Are you in the UK?
Do you have one headlight on in low beam and one on in main beam?
For some markets the bikes were shipped with those relay slots empty to have it work like that.
Filling the empty relay sockets with 5 pin relays will give you both headlights on.

I'm not that initimate with the little Daytona personally so can'tt tell you which position is the turn signal relay.
But I'm sure someone will jump in soon .......
