Don't have one, so can't comment empirically, but can tell you from looking at the map, the designed setting is 1300 rpm.
Here's some info on what can affect idle speed

Running temperature idle speed is supposed to be between approx. 1,050 and 1,150 rpm.

That's not what it says in the stock speed4 map I looked at BombF

I agree that there is a discrepancy, but the service manual states that (with the throttle bodies properly adjusted, IACV properly working, TP reset in ECM, and engine warm) the engine should idle at 1,100 +-50 rpm. For what it's worth, my TT600 map says the same thing as the S4 map (1300), but my engine runs at approx 1,100 warm; that's not to say the tach is accurate?

Maybe you could hook your TuneBoy up BombF and see what the diagnostic display reports as rpm compared to your display?
I would have to believe that the system should be servo-ing to attain the number in the map. I would not necessarily believe the manual, as things change!

with the leo vince can on mine it's running at 1300 to 1500 rpm as per the tuneboy but on the tacho it's reading 1000 to 1300 rpm. Im thinking about turning mine down on the tune as i would prefer to idle at 1100 so i can imporve slow manouvers.

It depends. Different maps have different idle speeds. I had a map in my TT600 for a while with a 1600 rpm idle speed because it was screwed up elsewhere and I used the idle speed to help solve the problem. It drove the Triumph dealership crazy because they couldn't figure out what I did. The map was way too lean, and I was onto the next experiment soon enough it didn't melt anything.
As I recall, TT600 maps are set to idle from 900 rpm to 1300 rpm, depending upon the iteration. They were all a little different.

The part about your tach reading 1,000-1,300 rpm would have been helpful to start with
I'll be damned, Will is correct! (Not to say that is rare ). DEcosse, take a look at TT600 map 10088. It shows an idle of 1,100. But my map, a custom map based off 10166 shows idle of 1,300 rpm. However, we have found a discrepancy in map idle and tach readout. Andy, If you want more low speed maneuverability, I wouldn't fool with the idle speed, I’d use the clutch and brakes more.
It sounds like there is no issue. If the map states 1,300 rpm idle, and the TuneEdit readout is telling you 1,300-1,500 rpm, and your tach reads 1,100-1,300 rpm, I don't see and issue. As I said, my tach reads approx 1,100 rpm, so my TuneEdit analyzer will probably read approx 1,300 rpm. I'm planning on running it this weekend, so I'll let you know.

One other thing- the tach readout is partly set by the marketing department. Ask Yamaha R6 owners about how accurate tachometers are. TuneEdit is the real thing.
