You know, I had always wondered how they could get away with their pricing. $7,999 for a new D6? Too bad I never jumped on it when I had the chance.

Atlanta Triumph/Ducati is indeed gone. There's a thread below w/more info, but it's definitely gone!

There are still 3 dealerships in GA (per the official Triumph site) --

I haven't used in of these for service, in fact, I haven't even been inside the doors of any of these shops in the last 6-8 mos, tho' I used to stop at Freewheeling when I had some time on my trips to/from Atlanta/Birmingham. At that time, the sales staff seemed friendly enough, but that's no recommendation.

Yes Chattanooga went a while ago and latley Machines In Motion (AKA Triumph N. GA) went out of business and 1 1/2 weeks ago we lost Atlanta Triumph/Ducati, pretty scary. For all you who were friends of Andy at Machines youll be happy to know hes in the service dept at Moto 400 and you can see him their.

Just bought my first bike (09 Speedmaster) at Freewheelin in Nov. Folks were friendly, but I must say for my first experience buying a bike, they did not have their stuff together.

as a former suzuki factory sales rep, i can tell you that once a dealer has a unit on his floor,he can sell it at any price he wants.what a factory rep can do is limit what the dealer can order,but this also cuts into the reps sales qouta,which he is unlikely to do.IF triumph pulled the plug, it was much more likely an issue of floor plan finance.yes, bikes can can be sold for low markup, but in the long run , it don't pay the bills.
