2009 Triumph Bonneville SE

Came across these pics posted in two different threads on
the delphi NTB forum earlier this month. Those pics are said
to be from the new 2009 catalog/brochure.

Other Motorcycle: lookin for my '96 T-bird
+1 for laced wheels; I guess they're doing a Lester look. Got rid of the kink in the exhaust finally.

Looks sus to me!

Why would a catalogue photo have bystanders in the background? (Well we would expect a brooding Ewan McGregor type at least). And what else is in the back ground? a carpark. It should be winding roads or gritty wharehouses or something. I Expect this a current model with some private individuals mods. Nice bike though!

There's two of them. One in the background behind the one
in foreground. We'll have to wait and see whether these are
actually 2009 Bonneville SEs.

Take note of the shorter fenders as well as tach/speedo and
black parts with polished cases in addition to the mag wheels.

One month to go before Triumph unveils a new 2009 model at
the Mid Ohio Vintage Cycle Days.

The guy who posted that on the Delphi forum said he got the picture direct from a dealer. Looking at it I think it's legit.

Or the number showing on the plate? Has anyone bothered to look it up to see if it's a manufacturer's plate or a private owner's plate?

Nice bike for certain, but those look more like genuine bystanders than models acting casual. And the technical quality of the photos leaves a lot to be desired. I don't mean the quality of the files, I mean that the photos themselves are definitely not of brochure quality: poor composition, abominable lighting, pitiful background selection; and none of those traits in a post-modern or artsy sense, either, just everyday snapshot quality.

Maybe the photos are as claimed, but it seems to me more likely that it's someone's customization job.

That's the one I'm waiting to see. Hope I can make it there in person, but it seems doubtful this year. With current fuel prices, I'd have to budget months ahead to make a trip like that.

It's hard to tell them apart from a few feet away.
