Hmmmm... Assuming that "Shoreline Powersports" in Kenosha = "Shoreline Motorsports" in Racine, I just bought a used 03 T'Bird from them - I picked it up from the carrier (forwardair) today in fact. Price was reasonable and Ken (the owner) treated me well - in fact I felt he went out of the way to help considering that they had to drain the gas tank, haul the bike to Milwaukee, strap it into the shipping container (they used at least 10 straps to tie it down), etc... and never any discussion of charging extra for this - he even apologized for the fact that it was raining when they packed it up so the bike wasn't going to be spotless when it arrived (it was darned close to it). I can 't speak for their service team but my experience in buying the bike from them (Ken) was just fine.

Well, I gotta say I wasn't exactly a hard sell when I got my bonneville (more like threw the cash and grabbed the keys) but Motoprimo in Minneapolis is very friendly (ask for Zack) and they'll make time for cash strapped youngsters, not just the better off riders.
I'll be due for my 500 miles tuning pretty soon and then I'll have a better idea on how good they as with Triumphs (they also sell Guzzi, Yamaha, Ducati, MV Agusta, and Suzuki)
Also, they have some real cute sales girls who really know their stuff :-D

I started looking for a bike in September of last year. I stopped into South East Sales in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
http://www.southeastsales.com
They sell Triumphs, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and down the street about 100 yards, BMW in a different building. I remembered them when in high school (1964 grad) when they were Hertig’s Triumph. At that time they had been around for a while. I was all set to get a jap bike until I sat on a new 2004 Speedmaster. 0.6 miles left over. My knees were bent and my feet were flat on the ground. With the big discount to move the bike and the $500 Triumph accessories (a windshield), I couldn't’t resist. Bought it on April 13th and drove it away about 15 minutes before closing time on the 15th. I had not ridden for about 39 years, I was scared to death. Dan the salesman, Dan the service Manager and Terry, the General Manager assured me it will come back in one mile. The torque on a Speedmaster is unreal at low RPM’s, which can be good, and can be bad

Now, 158 days later, 3 road trips, & 8100 miles later- they were right Got the sissy seat, low back, slash cut pipes, and other than checking the tire pressure and lubricating the chain- love it!! Zero problems. With the 500 mile check, 6,000 mile check and the 8,000 mile check, maintenance has been about $0.04 cents a mile and the Pipes installed were about $450.00. The only thing I would change on the bike would be to add a turbocharger- just kidding.

I forgot to get to the point. I would look for a dealer like Southeast Sales who has been around a while- you can mess up servicing a car but not a motorcycle!

New Post about Wisconsin Dealers:

I bought a new Speedmaster, but it was new (left over) in April of this year. I love it. Just had the short slasher pipes installed and then by a stroke of luck and divine intervention, or good karma, after I paid my selling dealer for an 8000 mile service, (which does not exist for a Speedy or Bonneville America) I drove an hour and ten minutes to Janesville, WI's Team Triumph. The wrench who was there on Saturday fixed my loose mirror under warranty and found numerous little things the dealer I bought it from didn't do when setting it up. Nothing dangerous, but?? Then I took it in to have the IE kit installed to stop discoloration from the shorty pipes and Todd, the co owner with Darcie worked on it for over 2 hours, all but 30 minutes under warranty) and then told me the air box was cracked in two or three places.
He didn't say why it was but, he did say that to move the air box back to install the new jets when the pipes were put on, the rear wheel has to come off. Well, I am a wrench of sorts (racing Karts, Automobiles (had 3 gas stations, with heavy duty service and built a modified stock car -dirt track with a +- 600 HP 350 cu in small block Chevy, hilborn injection running alcohol, etc. so I know a crowbar/hammer/pipe wrench job when I see one; or hear about one) I took my bike back in on Tuesday the 31st, 'cause they don't stock air boxes, and picked it up this Saturday. Todd found many other items that needed to be done properly and the output shaft gasket leaked a little and he replaced it. The whole damned thing cost me nothing- all under warranty, except for the white Triumph Bob Dylan shirt I bought.

It is nice to have a place like Team Triumph and someone who knows what he/she is doing and cares! They have my business if I would have to trailer my bike out there.
If you do something, do it right! My old buddy AJ Foyt Jr. (ya the old man) was that way- that is why he is still alive, and won more races than anyone. He did it right and demanded his crew did the same- from the mechanical part to the driving. He is a rotten bastard to be around, unless things are done right but you learn real quick that there is only one way to do things and if you don't want to, there is the door!! and he did win.

Shoreline was nice enough the time I was in there but it was just kind of a messy operation.
Team Triumph on the other hand has done nothing but good stuff and does a nice job of supporting the brand as well as the customer with RAT sponsorship etc...
Nobody would go wrong with a drive to Janesville.
