#*%&## Triumph Backorders on parts
These people really are inept IMHO. I had a rock crunch my left headlight on my Speedy last week end and there are no replacements in the USA!! Apparently Triumph never heard of "crash parts" which I will not explain as everyone in the world knows what they are except the goofballs at Triumph USA. PLUS you have to buy the WHOLE assembly including the light bulb for $117.00 for an approx $20.00 reflector/lens assy. Not life or death as I can ride around with one light or tape the hole over or ride another of the 3 Triumphs I own. Triumph has no appreciation for their customers IMHO. they are lost.

They seem to delight in pissing off their customers. Then there is the totally idiot dealer who told me it would be there and I went -NOT THERE-told me it would absolutely be there 2 days later -NOT THERE again but I waited over an hour for them to "find " it which they did not. They told me it was "deshipped" what ever that means and would be on indefinite backorder. Jesus, this is a **** headlight!!! So I will trade the Triumph in on a Suzuki or something ?? No, I love the bikes, but the business end of this deal is ever more frustrating and incompetent. Just keep on Triumph-----time is growing short. This dealer is the same one who stole my Speedy's SS brake caliper bolts, took 40 days to fix my sons broken Sprint Cam chain, took a combined 35 gallons of gas out of our bikes when we took them in for service (yes, they stole our gas!) and etc. etc . -seems like Triumph and the dealer work together to give good customer satisfaction doesnt it?

****! Sorry for your dealer problems. Glad I don't live in AL. I actually really like 3 of the 4 Triumph dealers in my area (Northern NJ).

Bummer about the headlights... something I need to keep in mind. Looks like it's time to troll e-bay! Good Luck

Will the Sylvania sealed-beam generic that a lot of Bonnie riders seem to like fit it? That's what I intend to do if/when mine breaks.

Sorry you're having a hard time of it. That dealer sounds like one to stay as far away from as possible. Have you taken your concerns about the dealer to Triumph USA?

It may be possible to determine parts availability for both distributor and dealer across the entire United States; I'm not sure.

Check with another dealer and Bike Bandit. It's a little early to go into "victim mode".

Based on your experience with that dealer and my experience (never a delay for crash parts), I'm guessing the dealer is BSing about no headlight in the US. All he has to do is order it.

HiVel-why on earth would you go back to a person who steals gas from customers? That is so low it hurts. I'd hook up with somebody else quick, even if I had to drive farther. At least you'd have the gas to get home. Some dealers wait to make a certain dollar amount before they place an order but it sounds to me like they are stroking you.

I'm suffering the Triumph part delay issue, as well. I live in Georgia, less than an hour from Triumph America. It's still a five day wait for parts for my 955i Tiger.

I'm very loyal to Triumph, but if this keeps up, my next bike will be a Kawasaki.

5 Days?
Five days! Wow, that's terrible.

Seriously, dude. Lighten up! That's not a wait. I'm sure you think every shop should have every part for every model bike in stock all the time. Or better yet, maybe just every complete bike from the last ten years, broken down and sitting in boxes waiting for you to walk in.

What is it with everyone needing everything right away? Have we all just become so used to getting everything we want, when ever we want it, all the time?

H#ll, I had to wait two days just to get a starter for my 2002 Acura. Even NAPA Auto Parts doesn't have everything all the time for your car. Why should Triumph or any other motorcycle maker be any different. Ever try to get a part for a KTM or MV?

Maybe you should just go buy a Kawasaki, I'm sure they will always have all your parts in stock and you will never have to wait for anything.

Now if the cycle shops would just stay open on Sundays & Mondays...
