Hi I am new t the site and I would like some help in choosing my new bike to buy. I like the Triumph speedmaster looks and design but I do not like the standard silencers noise since it seems as a very weak engine. Are there any aftermarket silencers which make the engine heared as those rumbling Harley Davidsons. And also is there any relocation kit for the driver's footpegs which may be fitted closer since I am a little short and do not reach the footpegs enough? Is it true that in 2009 a new speedmaster 1500cc is to be launched?

Hi Malteser. You might want to post your questions about choice of model in the Twins Hangout forum at this site. The folks there own and frequently modify all versions of the Bonneville family, and thus can give you firsthand advice. This forum is for more generalized discussion about different models made by Triumph, or which people wish they did make...such as the forthcoming big twin you asked about.

There is good reason to believe a twin in the 1500-1700cc range is under development. Dealers were told that as far back as a year ago. "Spy shots" this winter seem to confirm it. Some speculate that it will revive the name Thunderbird, but Triumph have not officially announced the model as yet, so we'll have to wait a bit longer for details.
