Anyone have any dealings with Gold Coast Motorsports in New Hyde Park N.Y.? I'm thinking of purchasing a Triumph from them, but they're 3 hrs away so I'd like as much info about them as possible before heading out. Thanks.

A good friend of mine bought his S3 from them.

Nothing but complaints about the service and his overall experience... including, but not limited to, a four month wait for parts (parts he ordered after two weeks of waiting, received, and installed) before they called him to ask if he, "really wanted us to order them". There are loads of places closer to Albany to buy from. Why Gold Coast?

They have the exact bike I'm looking for and actually there are precious few dealers within 100 mi. of Albany. Only 2 that I know of . Thanks for the info.

Have you contacted Ed's in Hyde Park? He's probably the closest dealer to you. I go there from Binghamton - a lot farther than Albany. I'm very happy with them.

I'm not knocking Gold Coast. I haven't dealt with them but I don't hesitate to recommend Ed.

I forgot to ask. What bike are you considering?

I'm looking for a 03 thunderbird sport. Do you have a phone # or web address for Eds? I've heard of them but never knew where they were.

Bought my bike from Gold Coast, the sale went smoothly and they were willing to negotiate on the price unlike another dealer I went to first. Have had parts ordered from them which allways arrived within one week. Their service department can get busy though, had to wait a couple weeks before they were able to scedule a routine service. Overall have had a positive experience with them.

Super3:

What about that dealer in Fort Montgomery, NY. The name escapes me at the moment, but they are a Ducati dealer and get high marks on the Ducati list.

Bought my S3 from Ed's. He's a real old school type of guy, but you won't find a more honest man to buy a bike from. I would certainly recommend him. I don't know if he has a TBS right now, but feel free to call him: 845-454-6210. He's in Hyde Park, NY near Poughkeepsie.

I also frequent Rockwell Cycles in Fort Montgomery, NY. They are a very classy dealership and have done some servicing for me. They will probably be less flexible on the pricing, but will back you up in the service department. If you call, ask for Nick.

By the way, I think there is a 2003 in the Classifieds section on this site. . .

Good luck.

I have called both Rockwell and Ed's and neither has a TBS and the one on this site isn't "stock " enough for me. I'm going to drive down to Gold Coast in a couple of days and see what's up. Can't hurt to look and talk. Thanks
