Miller certainly knew his Triumphs. Unfortunately, he didn't sell many motorcycles (despite reports otherwise in this thread), but he does sell a lot of lawnmowers. The worse news for those taking their bikes to Winchester is that the clock may be ticking on that dealership as well. Those on here that seem to be holding a grudge against the company for making a business decision probably should grow up a little (nothing personal). You cannot blame Triumph for wanting dealers who sell product and represent the brand with the image that the company desires. In Virginia, franchised dealerships are area protected, so it's not as if they could simply put in another dealer in Lynchburg if they need more numbers. Miller had been with the company for a long time, the brand has just outgrown the store in this case.
With that said, I am a long time reader of these boards, and I think you should give Colonial Cycle a chance. Everyone has a different experience everywhere you go, and I've had nothing but excellent service there. If they are your closest dealer (and if you are in Lynchburg they are) you should at least check them out. The owner's son works down there a lot these days, and really knows his stuff about our favorite motorbikes.
