I'm more than a little mystified by that. When I ordered mine at the first of August, that's the time frame they were quoting
then, and warning that some colors would take longer.
Demand was already growing faster than the number they had intended to produce all year. (Triumph are not BMW or Porsche, with nearly unlimited production capacity.) By early September, when some of our members in the
Street Triple forum ordered, they were given mid-winter delivery dates. Others who ordered toward the end of the month were given spring delivery dates.
And those dates are being met, by and large. Come visit the group and see for yourself. We all hated the fact that there would be a wait, but we knew that going in, and in cases where there was slippage, the company kept us informed along the way. Nearly everyone there will tell you the bike was worth the wait, too.
Whomever you called was likely having a bad day for some reason, but I still have to suspect your dealer overlooked some of the paperwork/electronic filings that were needed to get you into the priority program on time. Whatever the exact reason for it, your experience is unfortunate. But it is not typical, and certainly no basis for writing off the whole company!
