The Thruxton is a definate move in the right direction, maybe bump it up to 1000cc, The Rocket 111 should do well with it's hp and torque figures. As for the rest of the classic/cruiser line-up Triumph seems to be OK

For sportbikes, emphesize the Val-Moto 600 victories and market the 600 as an effective alternative to cookie-cutter Japanese bikes. Bring back the Sprint RS as a nekkid sportbike along with the S3 and S4

For touring, use the 1300 engine in a new Trophy, though I don't mind chains myself many people do, so it should have a shaft drive. Just don't go BMW's route and over engineer the fun out of the bike. For the Sprint ST, open up the fairing a little bit to show off the engine and give the leading edge a more angular profile, the round plastic egg look is becoming passe`.

Try'n increase market profile and dealerships and make sure they know what they're about, don't insist on Triumph only dealerships. The buying demographic is different for Japanese and European makes so take advantage of that, and and bundle Triumph with KTM and Italian bikes. Support each genre` with appropriate accessories and trinkets and fix your web site, compared to other manufacturers the web site is difficult to navigate and ineffectual in getting across the new Triumph culture. :-g :-D

As for myself, I would like to see more retro-hoolie cafe racer bikes, but with real performance to back up their looks. Maybe a Thruxton Speed Triple? Just a thought.

There is getting to be a growing, nearly untapped market for this type of bike in the US. Mainly for the under 30 crowd, who want style and class, but not a Harley or a Japper.

Okay, here goes:

First, keep the TBS, upgrade the engine (from the Speed Triple) and play up the café racer aspect – like Metcatwin.

Second, bring back either the Legend but with a new engine, a 900 cc version of the Rocket engine (three-cylinders front to back), and play up the cruiser lines – forward controls, more rake to the front fork than T-Bird, solo saddle and separate pillion pad, etc. That will handle the cruiser riders who want more engine than the Bonnie America.

Third, upgrade the standard features on all – key accessed seat removal and accessory plug-in outlet come to mind.

Fourth, don’t bring back the T-Bird, so mine will be more valuable (just kidding).

Fifth, sell more of them so that the aftermarket manufacturers kick in with more options and accessories designed for Triumph bikes.

How about making retro fit kits for the accessories? Like a kit so i can fit the America/Speedmaster grab rail or sissy bars to my Adventurer?

I'd pay up to $40 or 50 for something like just to get the accessories I wan, in addition to the price of the accessory. They would find they will also sell more acessories doing such things.

I agree with the bunch that would like to see the power in the TBS upgraded. How about some accessories for the bike, too. Like a comfortable saddle. Realistically, with the addition of some bags, the bike makes a reasonable sport-tourer.

Get rid of the stripes on the Tiger. It's a good looking bike. The "eyebrows" look stupid.

Some every thought provoking ideas here.
I'll offer some more.
1) diesel diesel 110 mpg is very attractive ( be the first )
2) A scooter 400cc or greater hit the Italians where it hurts
3) ALL motorcycles shaft or belt drive & heated grips
4) Touring models electric windscreen & ABS
5) Triumph do not discontinue triple cruisers ( ARE U CRAZY )
