Wink 1500cc TWIN cruiser

On the rumour mill, it seems that the 1500cc twin cruiser again targeting the Harley market that Triumph are not developing, is due to be announced Mid 2008. Remember you heard it from me here so mark this post and see that I’m right. I do have a covert mole in Triumph Hinckley. Opps maybe I should have posted on Twin talk but what the heck it’s gonna be a cruiser.

Really?
So how many times does that make it that we have heard it now?

Do a search on this site for '1500cc' and see how many threads come up.

Yes, it's 2 cylinders of the Rocket three turned round so they make a vertical twin..shaft drive..MCN posted photo's about 6 months ago...Looked alot like a small R3 to be honest.

Nope wrong again, so no coconut for you. Don't beleive all that is said in MCN. There is a full blown daytona 1000cc prototype sitting in Hinckley R&D department, lovely looking machine. Would blow the socks of an R1 not only performance but looks too. Pity that after doing their sums there is not a world profitability market for it. Anyway back to the original post, the 1500cc is a chain driven and NOT shaft. The engine is a derivitive of the existing Parallel twin and NOT a cut down triple as you would be lead to beleive. Sorry you fell for MCN scent. As I said it is aimed at the smaller Harley market, the chain driven area. Harley owners will salivate over it.

Watch this space as pictures could be leaked sometime in March 08.

Leaked?, the salesman at the dealership told me about this a few months back. So this is old news. For now everyone's going to have a slightly different story, but until it's announced, its all speculation. There have been multiple threads on this.

Blah blah blah, this rumor has been giving me headaches for over a year.

It was supposed to be announced for the 2008 model year. Now its going to be for 2009. Maybe the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus will unveil it at the International Motorcycle Show.

BELIEVE IT WHEN YOU SEE IT!
