Top dealers

Hi all,
just thought I'd start a tread on who are the Top dealers for each state. That way if we are travelling and need help we can find out who to go to if needed. Here in Tassie the best Trumpy dealer is Motorworks in Hobart, the workshop guys are top and so are the guys behind the front counter. Larry is the boss and is always ready help out with any problems. Their address is 248 Argyle st Hobart, Ph 0362343888.

Nice thread Tankman

Hi Tankman,
well I can say that I have about an almost 4 year relationship with Team Moto Virginia. They used to work on my GSX R600 and now my Sprint. The workshop manager has changed several times in that time but have always been good guys to get on with and I always have the same guy work on my bike.

I have had good service and when I have had a mnior issue it has always been addressed promptly and to my satisfaction.

Friendly and very helpful both in the service dept and the accessories/parts.
Michael is the boss, Craig is workshop manager, Tony parts man and Bruce and Charlie two top technicians in the workshop. And Steve is the sales manager, the store manager is Michael but I do not really know him yet.
cheers,
DaveM

Dealer Forum

Hey Tankman,
I had forgotten that Shawn now has a Dealer specific forum.

I will leave this here for a little while then move it into the correct forum.

In Victoria (Aus) don't ignore the guys at Horsham, Wimmera Motorcycle Co. I have found them competitive for a deal, and OK for service. They do a lot of sales with Harley, for people from all over the place, so they can't be bad. Trevor is the man to twist for a deal. As I have said somewwhere else here Peter Stevens are generally OK. I don't like the floor sales staff, but the service guys and the Triumph people I reckon are OK. I have purchased my 2001 from Peter Stevens and the 2006 from Horsham. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to either.
Cheers, Simmo

When I went to get my 10k service, virginia were about $80 more expensive than slacks creek. Then, when enquiring about luggage, they beat slacks creek by a couple of hundred. Wish both had more in the way of clothing..

CO-Denver Area Dealer

Foothills BMW has been a great dealership for me so far. I have not bought a bike from them but if I had the itch to go get one I would go through them. Matt and Alan in Service have worked me in even without an appt for tire mounting. Mike in Parts is a huge help if you're doing the work yourself (I usually am). They even have a guy in sales that races so he can give some great feedback and opinions on the bikes he sells(sorry forgot his name). From what I can tell, Foothills does NOT have the cheapest Servicing prices are cheaper than the Triumph dealer in Long Island NY. Their staff doesn't mind taking the time to answer all the questions you may have which makes me trust them fully with my machine.
I highly recommend them.

Carolina BMW Triumph of Greensboro North Carolina. I've bought two bikes from them, a BMW R1150RA and the T100 and have been totally satisfied with sales and service. Nice facilities, nice folks.

Shepparton, Vic

Greetings;

I purchased my 07 Sprint from Brett and Tom at AJ's motorcycles in Shepparton.

I did this after visiting nearly all the Metro and Regional Trumpy dealers in Victoria. My "local" dealer, Peter Stevens were basically woeful - not interested in trading in my '02, not willing to organise a test ride, and basically, if I was not buying a Jap bike, not interested, I felt. A sort of " too bad, so sad - if you don't buy it, some other mug punter will" attitude

To be fair, Mick their Dedicated Trumpy salesman was not there. He has always been pretty good - and now he has seen the light and left PS, to go work at BMW Southbank.

AJ's were great - organised a test ride, did an OK trade on my old bike, threw in a tank protector and some T-shirts, did a deal on a helmet, etc. More importantly, they listened, advised and generally made you feel as if you were slightly important to them - especially as you were dropping nearly 18K on buying a bike from them.

Every 3 months, I get a follow up call from them, to see how I am going with the bike. Great customer service.

Wimmera Motorcycles in Horsham were a very close second, Simmo -great service, but they were another hours' worth of travel from Melbourne.

Cheers
