Who the Hell can you trust Part2!!!

I few weeks ago I had a 12k service done, 08/27/07 to be exact. I posted a thread stating some ill feelings I had with the service department. They had left some fairing bolts loose and others items that I thought were just a lack of attention to the details or just plain be lazy. Ok this weekends project is to change out the plugs for a set of Iridiums and since the air box is on the way change that as well. Look at what I find. I cannot believe somebody can be this incompetent. The air filter is about 75% clogged, one plug rusted (I've heard of that on here) one has oil on it, one is ok. Who lets this sh*t pass.
So what to do next: Do I go to the dealership, with this crap, and my receipt for the 12k (glad it itemizes all points checked or completed) and demand to have this service performed again free of charge or I'll Kirk-out right here in front of God and everybody yelling out how piss poor their service department is. Option 2: Be a bit more diplomatic, present my case and the evidence, and see what they come up with as far as a resolution to my dissatisfaction. In any case I will never return to......

Yes go back to the dealer and present the evidence with you. You paid for a service and it appears they didn't do the job. The dealer may not be aware of how one of his mechanics is performing. It will not only be you but other Triumph customers that have and will continue to suffer, go stop the rot.

For sure go complain! Its you bike and your money. Go get what you paid for. And thanks for the head up I was planning on taking my there for service soon. Guess I'll have to trek out to Hermys the next closest dealer. Herm is good people though, bought from him.

The dog that barks the loudest gets the most attention..

I'd be barking mad. The services are expensive enough without them not having performed the service at all..

I'd be p1ss3d off..

Those guys rank right up there with another dealer I know -amazing isn't it?

They bust stuff on your bike ,scratch your brand new gas tank on your brand new bike, take your gas, steal parts off your bike and take **** near forever to do a one day job-Bogart's in Birmingham ranks at the top of incompetent Triumph dealers. Very sad.

HiVel

To me it is a simple question my friend.

You paid for something and didn't get what you paid for.

Take it back and discuss with the workshop manager, he may have a lazy mechanic he doesn't know about. It is very hard to get good staff in anything these days.

If he gives you the run around or isn't helpful go straight to the manager or store owner and demand satisfaction.

Slamming them on the web isn't going to help get your bike sorted, but I can very well understand you must be very mad.
I wouldn't have done that myself as you havent given them opportunity to apologise and fix it yet, they may not even be aware that this is happening in their shop.

I would be angry if that happened to me.

Be poilte but very firm (ranting will not get you anywhere a cool head will) and make it clear if you are not satisfied you will take further action, like speaking to Triumph America about this dealer.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Follow Dave's advice. Ranting rarely gets positive results. Good luck!!
