Other Motorcycle: only in my dreams
Chattanooga has fantastic prices on bikes, but as you said, the ability to trade in is unavailable. You may want to look into selling the bike on consignment. I'm currently preparing to do this and am relieved to have the burden of selling the bike on my own removed. As for service, I have been VERY happy with North Georgia Triumph

All salesmen tend to not tell the truth. I don't want to use the word "lie" because I don't think they lie. They just don't tell the truth. Like politicians....

A salesman is not like a parts guy or a service guy. Those two jobs don't depend directly on the amount of service or parts they sell.

But, a salesman does!! His job depends on how many machines he moves.

I especially like the shops where they have super good looking women. Are those women just extremely smart or for another reason??

I also like to "match wits" with extremely bulligerent sales people that will not take NO for an answer.

I have never dealt with any salesmen I liked. Their personalities are much different than mine.

However, the salesmen at Donnelsons gave me a luggage rack, extended side stand, and some t-shirts even though I didn't ask for them when I bought my Sprint there in 1998.

I had very good service in Tucson, but I felt the sales person they had was disgusting. He liked to "oogle" over my wife and ignore me.

I also have some places that I will never set foot in again. Memphis, Jackson, MS, and Little Rock.

I go up to Donnelsons when I want to see new Triumphs.

All salesmen lie?

No- all salesmen or women do not lie-I was a professional salesman for 31 years in a high tech medical business and if you lied in that deal you would not last very long.
please do not categorize people like that. I am sure you have reasons for believing your statements but everyone is not a liar and I and an awful lot of very honest and professional folks resent your saying that.

Don't worry HiVel, whenever I get around to meeting John21 I'll buy him some organic coffee and set him straight

Rat.Net is an extremely diverse group. We put the "do not judge others" words into the Acceptable Use Policy primarily because it isn't difficult to disturb someone on what we may perceive as harmless statements.

In the words of one of my mentors, all people sell - regardless if they realize it or not.

I never said they lie. They just "stretch the truth" or don't inform you if it is their best interest.....
