It's interesting to see that a clear majority of us, are both happy with our dealer's service, & the price they're charging for it. In fact with less than 10% of us voting in the lowest category. You'd have to conclude that Triumph's got their dealer network pretty well sorted.
It'd be interesting to see a comparison of the other bike brand's level of consumer satisfaction, with their dealer's service costs. I know that Ducati don't have too good a rep over here. & I've heard some horror stories about HD's & Buel's too. But it looks like Triumph are much closer to the Japanese standard of service. & all credit to them.

It's a hard thing to tell about dealers. It seems most companies have similar setups - some dealers are fantastic, others simply are terrible and it's up to you to find a good one. The unfortunate thing about Triumph is they have such a small dealer network. If you are unlucky enough to live near a dealer of poor quality, odds are it's the only game in town. With many bands UJMs, HD\Buell...etc it's a great deal easier to shop around. I can't drive anywhere without passing 1 of each, but I have 1 Triumph dealer within a couple hundred miles. Triumph is much more of a crapshoot than most other brands are.

Personally, I haven't been particularly impressed with my local dealer. But I didn't buy the bike from them so I didn't vote at all in the poll. Maybe if they had had the bike I wanted and I had bought it from them things would be different, but for me they've been pretty helpless. Can't find the stock jets, don't know and won't look for the part numbers, don't return calls or e-mails, currently holding 500 bucks of mine hostage - I pre-ordered a street triple with a delivery date of "October 1" from the dealer. When triumph contacted me to say it was an unknown delivery date. Possibly january or later. I went to get the deposit back so I could roll the money over into my bonneville (still spending the money at their store) but was told "you're lucky we'll give it back at all. You have to wait till we sell it."

So like I said, all dealers are different. You're just a bit shafted if the Triumph dealer by you isn't all that great.

Never buy a pig in a poke. If they had Street Triples in stock, I'd probably get one. As it is, pre-'08 Speed Triples will be coming down in price to the point that it makes no sence to get the Street. I'm going in today to put down money on the Speedy. We have very little support as customers with Triumph if the dealer is not good. It is hard to file legitimate complaints with their Customer Support system I have been told. In the only case I had trouble with a bike ('05 955i fuel pump) it was only because the dealer was an aggressive advocate of a good customer that things came together. Triumph rightly leaves it up to dealers to handle field problems, it's part of the job. It's not that the dealers are bad, they may just be jaded and lack initiative.
