Triumph USA Customer Service ???

Has anyone tried to call Triumph customer service in the Alanta office lately? I have tried to get a question answered for four days and I just get a voicemail message. Two messages should be enough.

Happy Trails.

whilst i have not tried to call triumph in the last few weeks, i have had occasion to in the past. i can only say that my experience has been exemplary - triumph absolutely 'rules' in customer service imho. peter [ext 2064...] is swamped as he's doing it by himself, but he WILL get back to you. maybe he's out or on vacation or sumpin...

You're doing better than I did.All I got was a message saying"Someone will be right with you"or something like that.No opportunity to input a ext.# or any thing. Once I held on for 23 minutes before I gave up. This was several months ago, when I was trying to get the skinny on the whole Thailand thing.Never did get through to anybody.

Cheers!

"Please leave a message after the tone..."

I work for an overworked, understaffed company myself (is there any other kind?) so I'm pretty understanding of these things. I called and left a voice mail message about not having received my Triumph magazine, and although it took him a few days the guy finally did call me back and got me squared away. If you keep calling hoping to reach someone in person it's probably just going to piss you off, so save yourself the aggravation and leave a message.

I called Atlanta when my coil failed on my Bonnie at only 700 miles and when I did get through all I got was that they had never heard of that problem before, the gentleman that I talked to was very nice but I just wanted to know if this was a common problem I don't want some corporate excuse.

In 95 when Triumph came back to the states I had better dealings with customer service because they really did listen to customers, now they don't.

I called customer service here in the USA to complain about a dealer taking 4 months for some minor repairs (a lot more to the story than this) and all I got was some idiot who said they "don't have control" over how their dealers run their businesses... There is a simple method of control I guess Triumph hasn't heard about... yank their dealership after #X complaints and a couple of visits by a "mystery shopper" to verify.

I love the bikes but unless customer service improves, my next bike will be a BMW. Triumph isn't the only fish in the sea. I've been treated better by used car salesmen.

Customer service

Unfortunately these words are not in their vocabulary. I won't go into detail but my experience was less than satisfactory. There are those who believe that you need to sort problems out for yourself but in today's competitive environment, customer service is what differntiates companies. Hope you have better luck than I had. By the way, nobody there will ever admit that have heard of your problem before since that implies they have a problem, i.e broken spokes (you need to check them, while riding perhaps?), warped brake rotors, coil issues, paint peeling in the gas tank, etc.. I have heard that HD has same problems with customer service, heck maybe the all do.

I am going to be the devils advocate here.

What seems to be forgotten here is that although we all own Triumphs, NONE of us have actually bought one from Triumph.

We have all bought our bikes from various dealers.

The dealers are in fact the ONLY customers that Triumph has.

So Triumphs Customer Service would only be extended to their customers.

??

Sorry Wombat but that dog don't hunt. The name Triumph is what buyers are looking for the most part. It is Triumph's reputation which is at stake and they are responsible for ensuring their dealer network is reputable and they support the dealership and the buyers of their products. Triumph Corp. makes money on every bike sold so that makes the buyer a customer. If you take a bike in for warranty work, it won't get done unless approved by Triumph corproate, just like an automobile dealership. The customer should never be left to battle by him/herself. To not hold Triumph accountable for customer relations is not, IMO, a wise approach. Could you imagine if Triumph stated it has no customer service available to the buyers of their products? Not a good advertsing slogan. They need to provide customer service at a high level. Why do they have a customer service number on the manual?
