Thumbs down Capital Area Triumph

Bought a 96 Daytona 1200 from Capital Area Triumph in Harrisburg PA. The Bike died
2.5 miles later on a very dangerous streatch of Highway. The Dealer took the bike back
and made repairs. Was able to get the bike home, but now does not run correctly and
the dealer does not want to help in any way. I would warn other Triumph owners to stay
clear of this dealership.

I will be taking the bike to Hermy's which has a very good reputation.

I live in Kutztown and would not consider taking my Sprint any where other than Herm's. Never had anything but good service at fair prices from them.

Sorry to hear about your trouble with them.

I've never had anything but great service from them, but I've never bought a bike there.

To me CAT has provided excellent service and sales. And compared to Hermy's, I have found that CAT can often fit me in quicker, have given me loaners during service, and can often get the work/warranty done while I wait. Sorry to hear of your issues with that Daytona 1200 - I saw it sitting in there myself. Nice bike and I hope you get it sorted.

Thumbs up Capitol Area Triumph - Highspire, PA

The folks at Capitol Area are great to do business with, very honest and ethical, and they care about their customers. I bought my new Sprint ST there and have dealt with them with purchases of and service on other bikes. I have never had a single negative experience with anyone there. I'm sorry that pathunderbird had a bad experience with his Daytona 1200, but I'm sure the dealer didn't foresee the problem with the bike before it left their shop. Things happen with used bikes and it isn't fair to blame the dealer for that. What reflects on a dealership's character is not what might go wrong with a used bike after it leaves their premises, but how they resolve a problem once it is brought to their attention.

The owner, John, is very fair to negotiate with and the service manager, Bill, is one of the friendliest guys I have ever met in a motorcycle dealership. He has worked on many of my bikes and I have always been satisfied with the turnaround time and reasonableness of the cost.
