A little while ago, I posted with a question about Orange Count Triumph after they were a bit off-putting.

Well, I took my bike there for its 24K service. They did an excellent job, and did some extra work on it. It runs great now.

The only problem was that I asked for Metzeler Z6 tires and they put on Z4s. I didn't notice that until I rode 6-700 miles on them.

Mickey offered a full credit for the Z4s towards the 6s. I was so moved by his no BS handling of the situation that I offered to cough up $40 for the mileage I put on the 4s.

I'm sure he's not happy about eating the cost of the tires, but he has made this new customer happy, and probably a repeat customer.

Nice story and that's incredible customer service you got. As they say---word of mouth is the best advertisement. Similar thing happened to me with my Sportster.

When I purchased the bike, I knew I was paying just a bit more than MSRP, but was told I had a 4 year warranty as opposed to the other dealer's 1 yr HD warranty. So I figured it was worth it to me. One year later I developed a rockerbox leak and took it back. They told me I still had 3 years left on the warranty, but they charge $25 per warranty job and don't cover gaskets. Only "integral parts" of the engine. Whatever! I refused to pay for what I've already paid for, and left with the same leak I rode in with.

I went to another dealership, explained my story, and right there and then they fixed my problem and did not charge me. And they also fixed a headlight problem (Deutsch connector burnt which required soldering) for free.

If I ever get rid of my Sportster, guess where I am buying next?
