Worst Dealer in PA- Rider's World

Message from the owner of a 2006 Triumph Sprint (incredible bike).

Purchased it at Rider's World in Wilkes-Barre, PA which is one of the few Triumph dealers in Northeast PA. Very good sales staff. But that's the end of the positives for this dealer.

Parts and service managers are incompetent. They consistently order the wrong parts, don't know anything about the bikes they sell and don't understand the word "accountability" when something goes wrong. I tolerated most of their excuses for a year, but the final straw was their poor service scheduling. Worst I've seen. Give them a week to work on a bike for simple things, they take two weeks because they wait till the last minute to order parts even when you give them all the info. up front. I'm just thankful nothing was seriously wrong with the bike or it would still be sitting there.

I'll never deal with them again and would suggest you look elsewhere, unless you want the runaround and lame excuses.

I don't how far scranton is from Pottstown, BUT... I drove 3 hours from WV to pick up my Sprint. Martin Motorsports was very pleasing to deal with, the sale was easy ( they were the only dealer I found that would trade my FZ1 for the Sprint) heres the really good part. When I got back home started doing my research on this bike and the MC swap was one of the items I wantd done first, so took it to my Triumph dealer and they said there was a back order on this part, OK I knew this was a possibility. Anyway for just for sh!ts and giggles I called Martin, low and be hold they have one in stock, sent it to me for free and I had my MC done! with out waiting for months. I wish I lived in that area to have them as my dealer, maybe you should checkem out, I think they have moved into a bigger shop to boot.

Thanks for the info. wvtriple. Looks like Martin is almost 2 hours from me so that might not work. There is another Triumph dealer about an hour away:

Hermy's Triumph in Port Clinton

Anyone have any feedback on Hermy's? Hopefully it's good...

Hermy's

Hermy's is an outstanding dealership for both sales and service. Searching this board and you will find others saying the same thing. I don't think you'll see a single negative comment.

I agree. I stopped in there a couple of times and you get a positive feeling about them.

Hermy's is legend in the Triumph world. Been around forever and never heard anything bad about the place. I wish I lived closer to it.

Hermy's... yes they are.

I have bought several things from Hermy's online. In one case I ordered the wrong part and they were only too happy to fix it and not nail me for the shipping and my mistake.
