I recently acquired a low-mileage (400 mi.) 2002 Trophy. The bike had been sitting in the garage for about 5 years, but the owner said performed regular maintenance. I couldn't find anything wrong with the bike, until I hit the high beams on my first night ride. Nothing.
I made the 87 mile trip to Performance Powersports in Chattanooga (formerly Polaris Victory Triumph) and explained the problem. Les Damewood, the service manager, took the bike to the back and soon diagnosed the problem. The headlight relay was corroded. He tried several auto parts stores for a replacement, but none were found. When I received the news, I envisioned a long wait while the part was ordered.
Not So! Les took the relay apart, cleaned it, reassembled it and I was on my way. All this for a very reasonable fee. How many folks would have gone to this trouble?
