I know that closing dealerships can be a frustrating thing for consumers. It is important for everyone to know however, that in order for Triumph to be the strongest it can be, some dealers are going to have to be sort of weeded out. When Triumph first came back stateside, they would put in a franchise just about anywhere that would take them...now things have changed. The machines have drastically improved, the image has grown, and the brand is looking to the future. In order for the brand to continue its growth, a stronger dealer network is a necessity. This will mean some growing pains in the short term, as we have experienced this year. In the long run, it will be better for everyone involved in the Triumph experience. One poster was also accurate when he/she mentioned that some dealers are struggling. Shrinking margins across the industry over the past 20 years, along with the internet (and its accompanied price shopping) have contributed to this problem. It is my hope that Triumph will be able to make its dealers stronger in the next few years with better programs and motorcycles, available in better time frames and quantities.
