I talked to a dealer today that has no clue about the recall. What do I need to say to him to steer him towards helping me out? Is there a NHTSA # on this recall? A secret code or handshake Triumph has?
Thanks.

Contact Triumph and provide the dealer details to them and urge them to contact the dealer. Say your bike is leaking fuel and is a huge safety issue storing the bike in a garage. The fumes are hazardous to breathe and if ignited, could do serious damage to both your property as well as bodily. That should be enough of a reason for them to contact the dealer for you, liability.

Lonestar HD/Tri in Tyler, TX is totally unaware of the recall. They are willing to sell me more plastic connectors, though.
Kaw/Tri of Memphis, TN hasn't returned my email. It's been several days.
I can't find websites or emails for the two dealerships in OK.
Does anybody know of a dealer around here with any clue?

They should have a clue soon, since it is my understanding that the recall letters are in the mail right now. Not two weeks from now as it has been for a couple of months!

I'm not happy with Triumph for dragging around on this. It was supposed to happen in April. I bought my bike new and I haven't moved since. They haven't sent me anything in the mail. Triumph is just now communicating this to the dealers. I feel like they don't care about us.
I really like my sprint, but I don't care much for the company behind it.

They started formulating the plan for the recall in April. I'm not sure why your dealer is clueless about this. The service bulletin was in other dealers' hands in July. When my Tiger was in for annual service, they took care of the connecters free of charge, without my having to have the notice from Triumph yet or anything.

NHTSA has a pretty good database.

The Recall ID is:
NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number : 04V156000

man I love the internet
