Darcon...Sounds like he is having employee problems....and trying to cover his posteror. Find a good local mechanic that appreciates motorcyles and knows the Triumph heritage and stick with them....hint, someone over 40

Update;picked bike up and noticed alot of scratches on rear plastics , fork seals never touched, carbs completely taken apart(various parts missing) and in a penzoil box , parts bill 195.00 most of them for mikuni so Ill have to return most of them!
I feel raped

2 people there had 2 reasons for not getting it done with an offer that they could probably do it in about another month
asked them about scratches on plastics, reply was we dont think that happened here but get with your body guy and let us know what he thinks both owner and service guy offered nothing for the trouble

as for why wichita?well,,, my 96 t-bird has 22000 miles on it and was serviced there from new and they never were like this before they started building custom Harleys and Indians. Tulsa's parts dept is a nightmare to deal with even with my microfiche for parts #s so i avoided them and Im not aware of any other dealerships near here

Ive called around to many bike shops and no one wants to touch carbs in a box soooo Im buying a factory service manual and looking for parts, tools, and plastics at this point.
sorry for the spelling and lack of proper quotation im a steelworker not an english major lol

You have a lot more patience than I do. And I hope you didn't pay those rip-off artists anything. You owe them NOTHING!I would take them to small claims court and wring them for every dollar you can. They obviously care nothig about you, your bike or their customers. The weird thing is I would expect this kind of "service" from a Harley or Honda dealer but not Triumph. And you should definitly let Triumph USA know the story.Good luck.

They are a Harley dealer of sorts. Overpriced customs(Kemp?) and used Harleys.

I can't believe they want you to pay for the parts and I hope you didn't. Tell them you won't pay as you were willing to pay for a service not for parts. As hard as it is to do, I would leave the bike there and hire an attorney or contact the BBB and let this "shop" know of your intentions.

Just go to the shop, snap some pictures, and then let them know you will contact them at a later date
