I picked up my new T100 today here in New Hampshire. The label on the bike said it was built in December 03. How long would you guess it takes to get from the UK, to the US and finally to the dealer?

Just curious.

Depends which way the wind is blowing. If they have to get the oars out and paddle it takes much longer.

There are holding pounds for stock at each end, and bikes are not only built to order but rather built based on predicted sales. Therefore there is no real one answer to this question.

The actual sea journey takes just about a week IIRC from when my household items were shipped on my moving from the UK to New Hampshire, but the overall shipping took more like a month due to port turnaround times and customs clearance.

Look at the possible steps - 1) factory to exit port, 2) waiting at exit port for loading, 3) loading entire ship, 4)voyage, 5) time to unload and hold for trucking, 6) trucking to Triumph USA warehouse, 7) trucking to dealer. I would think anything under 30 days would be very good.

When my wife and I did some work in our house, we bought some tile that was made in England. It took six months to get here! I doubt that Triumph would tolerate that long a shipping time, since a bike in a crate makes nobody any money! You can bet that an exporter like Triumph has figured out the most efficient way to ship bikes to all of their markets.
