Anyone got any info good/bad on Temple City Powersports in San Gabriel, specifically for service?

Just bought a 99 T-bird and they are the closest dealer. I know L.A. Triumph, Southern Cal Triumph, and South Bay Triumph all seem pretty good from reading here, but they are all a bit of a drive for me. It is nice to have so many choices though!

Carl

p.s. I'll stay away from Simi Valley. Glad I have this board because I probably would have gone there otherwise since my friend lives a mile away.

Carl,I really cant comment on temple citys service but I can comment on thier parts dept. They carry NOTHING in stock.I tried to buy oil,oil filter and wrench. As usual they had nothing in stock and didnt know when they would get them and I found this out after 15 minutes on hold on a wednesday mornig. I work in Alhambra and live in Chino Hills,it would be nice to pickup parts on the way home.Ive been happy with So Cal triumph in Brea. I guess Im done ranting now but I think if you have the name on the building you should have some parts on the shelf....

As above , TC has minimal stock. I bought my Tiger there and consider them a source of parts...I do my own servicing.

They are primarily a Honda, Kawasaki, Watercraft and Quad store with Triumph a distant forth or fifth. I get the feeling Triumph treats them like the red-haired stepchild when it comes to getting stuff, though I still use TC as my first parts order store.

For the minimal warranty needs, the Service is reasonable, the folks friendly though their 'bread and butter' clearly are the other brands. I have not had a need for any complex repairs so do not know their competence.

So Cal Triumph has made a significant commitment to their showroom and parts stock as well. Service appears to operate in a professional manner.

Triumph owners ride a unique brand. With the comparatively small unit sales in the US, most dealers will have Triumph as their niche corner bike, extra-profit when-they-can-sell 'em product.

Dealers like Southern California Triumph REALLY commit to success. When there are more like them, the brand will 'take off'.
