For those of you who have wondered. The CycleMart sale went through and it is now called MotoInternational/CycleMart. So the familiar name still works. Some things are changing but nothing major yet. Positive changes include the addition of demo bikes -- something we hadn't seen around there for a long time (today I took a Speed Triple out for about 25 miles, pretty fun). The shop is trying to start a formal Rat Pack; so far the holdup is that no one wants to step forth and be the leader (me included). (Randy, come back to Olympia and you can take the job.)

Some of us are meeting at 10 Saturday morning at CycleMart to ride to meet the Packs form Cycle Barn and Portland -- feel free to join is.

The maybe not so good news is that Clancy (the parts guy) has taken employment elsewhere and the new guy, Chris, just started this week. If you need parts, allow extra time for the learning curve.

Warning!: Whining to follow!
I have to admit this ticks me off. I've personally bought 2 Victorys and a Rocket, and been directly responsible for the purchase of at least 2 Victorys at this shop since 2000. Plus accessories bought and time spent trying to form a working relationship with this shop. Now I've got to start all over with all new people. I'm not sure I'll bother.

Sorry to hear about Clancy. One of the nicest guys [motorcycle related or otherwise] I`ve ever met. Is the elusive Toby still on board? I`ve not had my bike back to the shop for any work since I bought it and will be interested to see if the new owners jack the prices on 12k services etc.

Yep, Toby's still there. Just talked to him Wednesday about scheduling a valve adjust on the Rocket. Once it's out of warranty I'll continue to do my own stuff.

I'm hoping prices stay the same. Moto International has a reputation of being fair and knowledgeable and I think that will continue with Cycle Mart. Besides, raising prices wouldn't make sense when you're trying to build a business back up.

In an effort to bring the nice weather to an end, Cycle Mart is having its Open House this Saturday! :-D

I noticed on the Triumph web site that the shop is listed as Puget Sound
Triumph.

Yep, I got paperwork 2 years ago calling it that also. Maybe technically it was Puget Sound Triumph operating out of Cycle Mart?? Who knows.
I guess now officially it is Moto International/Cycle Mart for the next year.

Don't know what you are all worried about, If you have ever met Dave Richardson you would know that the dealership is in good hands.

As a Moto Guzzi rider of many years I can vouch for Moto Int. being top notch. I've given them my money since they opened and strangely enough...they take it.

The new Moto Guzzis do nothing for me so I'm on a Sprint RS, I still work on/modify my old T-3 for therapy.

Trust me, this is exactly why I am NOT worried! I was very pleased to find out enthusiasts/owners of that caliber had bought the shop.
Stopped by there yesterday to pick up my Rocket - oh lordy, do they have the Kawasaki stock now! Triumph, Victory, KTM for something different, and Kawasaki for the volume. With any luck the dealership will be a huge success.
My only concern at this point is getting a knowledgeable parts guy in there.
