Has anyone bought anything from these guys?

Placed an order from their website 16 days ago, and no communication.

I had the same problem. I called and talked to Craig, he said the guy who designed their website still hasn't fixed the problem. Depending on what you ordred he can usualyy get it to you in a week. Great bunch of guys, they will call you back unlike some dealers.

I bought my bike from Triumph of Arkansas and have had good experiences in dealing with Bill Rush and his team. I agree that you might want to pick up a phone and call them. Ask them what other alternatives they would recommend - to include shopping elsewhere. I'm sure, based on my own experiences, that they are doing their best to fill your order.

I have had very good relations with Triumph of Arkansas;however, I learned very eary working with them and many other internet vendors as well to use the telephone instead of the internet. Craig, the salesman (Craig is his last name not his first), can be forgetful, so I try to deal directly with the owner, Bill Rush, or his wife (April I believe). Bill operated a engine rebuilding shop for decades before he got in the Triumph dealership business and his techs are long time mechanics. To date I have purchased all of the Triumph accessories I have bought through this dealership even though I could have saved about 20% (send me a private message if you want to know where and how) through the internet; this dealership is about 100 miles awat for me and the only other alternative is about 120 miles away and that dealer is primarily a Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki dealer.

As far as new bike sales go, Bill will deal within a few hundred dollars of the Chattanouga, TN dealership, which, to my knowledge, has the lowest Triumph prices in the USA.

Thanks for the replies!

Disclaimer: I am *positive* Triumph of Arkansas is a quality dealer with a satisfied customer base. I'm sure a lot of companies would like to have the same support they've received in this thread. I hold no ill will towards them.

But, I was almost ready to relent and merely call, except it was Bill Rush's email "read receipt" I received when I first inquired about the order (and heard nothing). As an IT/Web professional (for what that's worth these days) I see this as nearly as good as a phone call to a company with a web sales presence, so I guess I'm SOL.

No hard feelings. I'll get it from Great Bay. $10 more, but local.

Lesson is, don't endeavor into a market for which you're unprepared. In this day and age, your web sales presence differs little from your phone or your parts counter.

Only a matter of time before you're outsourced to India, guys.

Again, no harm, no foul, no ill will to TofA (wait... there's a marketing angle...)

Ah, the classic clash:

the digital/computer guy - who has the theory digital stamp is gold, If it doesn't have adigital time stamp, it didn't happen

the old school/paper guy: If its not on paper it didn't happen, digital doesn't exist since I can't put my finger on it.

My suggestion, figure out which one you're dealing with first and cya appropriately. Never ASSUME anything. A web presence doesn't mean much these days either.
