I bought my Triumph Thunderbird 900 new, three years ago, and with 7,500 miles, it has started to perform with such efficiency that I must say something about it. I don't think it is my riding because I've ridden all kinds of motorcycles for 40 years....this Thunderbird has become the best two wheel machine I've ever seen......on the road in 6th gear, I got 50 mpg on the run to Santa Barbara....It's fast on the long run.....it corners as if it hunches down and digs in....it runs up and down through the gears with such ease....it looks great in Green and Cream, a reminder from the past.....Maybe it just loosened up and wants to go. I think they stopped making them, and that's a shame....it's beautiful. Looks like a motorcycle should look. I think that I need to write them and thank them at Hinkley for such a great ride.

Yep. You're right. I really miss mine that a deer totaled last June. I had an '01 that I put 25K on before we got creamed. At about 10K miles it just seemed to get better and better. Which, of course, must be why Triumph dropped the line.

Enjoy!

Hi Leroy, I have the same bike in the same colors. I bought it because it looked right and I knew it was the last year for the Tbird. It's a great all around bike. People see it and constantly do a double take. She always attracts someone who wants to start up a conversation. There is some room for some improvement regarding suspension upgrades and I do wish it had the front dual disc set up from the TBS. However, it always puts a big smile on my face. My Tbird is a keeper! Ride Safe!
