I received a letter from Triumph informing me that Roadhouse Motorsports of Tulsa, OK is no longer a Triumph dealer. Bummer. They are also a Victory and Polaris and Indian dealer. I don't use dealer services all that much as I do everything myself, (part of the fun) but I liked having a dealer to get an occasional part from.

Oops, I guess I better ride out there and see what's going on. I just discovered their website is gone as well. They may have folded up altogether. My next closest dealer is over 100 miles from here and it’s a small dealer. The closest big dealer is in the next state. Oh well, gives me somewhere to ride to should I need a dealer!

I live in Tulsa. When I first moved here I went to those guys because I was interested in buying a Triumph. Two trips to their shop was all it took to convince me that I'd never do business with them. Even though I told them precisely what I wanted, their sales staff kept trying to persuade me to buy a Victory. I knew more about their Triumphs than they did. When I went to see if they had the new Speed Triple R, they told me there was no such bike. Then we went into their back room and found they actually had one in a new crate.....which they never put together. I heard they sold it to another dealer in the crate. They had no interest or desire to be in the Triumph business.

Maybe that's the deal. I knew way more about their triumph line than they did. I knew exactly what I wanted so I just walked in and rode it off the floor. They had no idea about any of the Triumph bikes. I want on a ride sponsored by the shop and one of the salesmen asked if my Thruxton could keep up with the other bikes!! I informed him my Thrux would chew them up and spit them out!

It looks like the BMW dealer will be the new Triumph guy in Tulsa sometime in the new year.

Performance Cycle in OKC is not a 'small' dealer, and they are pretty stable. They host weekly dinner rides, support the local Rat Pack and provide them web hosting for the Ratpack page, and they are the largest sponsor of the Ozark Rat Raid. They seem to put Triumph first before the Suzukis and other makes they carry. The service department has always been fair with me as well.

I bought my Triumph at Roadhouse because Performance sold the two Street Triples I had been looking at, but the one I bought at Roadhouse was a 2009 purchased new at the end of 2010 when the 2011s were coming out. They were not moving Triumphs at Roadhouse and didn't seem to know anything about Triumphs.
