LONG DISCUSSION WITH THE HINDS PEOPLE.......I WANT TO RESTART, BEGIN, CONTINUE WHATEVER THE CURRENT STATUS IS OF RAT IN CENTRAL OHIO. I AM IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING A MAILING LIST. WITH THE HELP AND APPROVAL OF RAT/TRIUMPH AND HINDSMOTORSPORT WE ARE GOING TO GET THIS THING OFF THE GROUND. ANYONE INTERESTED IN HELPING OR PARTICIPATING PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I REALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT PAST EXPERIENCES, SOUR GRAPES OR WHO HATES WHO. THIS GROUP WILL BE RUN ACCORDING TO RAT CRITERIA NOT LOCAL BICKERING OR I WANT THIS AND YOU WANT THAT. THIS IS ABOUT THE MOTORCYCLE TRIUMPH AND THOSE WHO LOVE TO RIDE THEM....PERIOD. LETS GO FORWARD AND GET A GROUP FOR THE DEALS GAP IN MAY.
READ SHAWN REEDS STORY OF RAT.....THERE IS NO REASON THAT WE CANT GET THIS THING OFF THE GROUND.

As I understand it the Rat groups have to be centered around a dealership. Even if this were not true it only makes good sense to be affiliated with one. In my conversation with Jeff Hinds I mentioned that I expected nothing from him other than any news or information that he receives from Triumph. The actual group, its activities, rides and social functions are all determined by its members. The degree which he participates is entirely up to him. I would welcome his input. I can only see that his involvement can enhance the group. Hinds is not responsible for anything but they do carry the Triumph name there for there must be some level of commitment. My goal in this is simply to get more Triumphs on the road in Central Ohio and find more people who love the bikes to get together and ride. I got the Torque mag in the mail the other day and there is nothing from central Ohio.....pretty sad.....I road to the Rat Raid in Arkansas in October.....I guess I could have put a picture of myself with the Ohio group.......me standing there with a beer in my hand by myself with an Ohio State sweatshirt on?

Ok. I have pondered the possibilities of a Central Ohio Chapter. Count me in. Let's try to get something for the spring at least.

According to Matt W. the chief Rat pack master of North America. Pack leaders must come from the dealer. Guess this idea got blown off the road without even starting the engine........Hello Joe's :brk:

Not sure what you mean. Is Hind's refusing to sponsor? Are they just that "BAD"?

Dont know if they really want to get it going. It sounds like BATE and Joes have something good going on.....
ever hear of Silent Skulls?.........ride alone. I think that is where I am at with the entire thing. :upthumb:
