In a letter from the current owner (Debbie -- Mike's widow), she writes that the sale is closing 2/6/06. The new management is to be in Tuesday the 7th. The new manager is a woman (gasp) who used to work for Aprilia back east. Could we be getting an Italian vibe to the place? (Probably not.)

Thanks for the update! It would be great, I think, to have them bring in the Piaggio/Aprilia/Guzzi flavor. Sounds like they're serious about bringing in good talent to try and do it right.

Can someone give me some history on this dealer change, I visit both dealers and wasn't aware of a change. Is Dave Richardson the owner of Cycle Mart?

Mike, the previous owner of Cycle Mart, passed away at the end of 2004. Since then it has been a dealership in transition while his widow tried to sell it. The owners of Moto International came forward and have officially taken over the business as of last week. They have a new manager in place and Clancy the parts guy and as far as I know, Toby, the mechanic are staying on. I don't know who the sales staff will be. At this point they are officially Triumph and as of Thursday, Victory dealers. The others are still in the paperwork stage apparently.
They will service but not sell Guzzis there. Cycle Mart used to sell Aprilia, I don't know if they will again.
Clancy said the official name will be Moto International/Cycle Mart for one year. After that??

Looks like MI/Cycle Mart is gathering steam as spring approaches. Lots of stock arriving. They're taking trade-ins and have a Bonnie, Speed 111, Sprint and Rocket 111 set up for demos. Good deals to be had on the Victorys too.

Demos at Cycle Mart -- it's unheard of, but certainly welcome. Last week Clancy (parts) told me that once that can they sell a couple more bikes, they'll start to bring in a lot of new parts and gear. I need a new helmet and I want to support CM but right now there isn't anything. However, I think in the near future, things will be happening.
