What does 2013 hold?

Has anyone heard anything about the 2013 Thruxton and will there be any significant changes? It doesn't seem like there have been for a few years now, and I'm pondering a 2012 or considering waiting until 2013. Even color may make the decision easier.

Only real change is Diablo Red is gone, being replaced by 'Brookland Green". I don't think anything else has changed

I'm hoping that the whole 'warm start' issue in the 2012 thruxton won't be present, as well as some 50-60mph wobbles I've read about. Anyway, if the price is right, I'll pick one up!

The warm start problem refers to when you have to try starting a couple of times after she is already warmed up. It almost reminds me of the old school h-d's on a compression stroke. You only get a short crank before it stops cranking. Usually does it a couple of times but its nothing to worry about. As far I know, color line up is the only changes for 2013.

Why not wait - and get the "sport" model. I hear rumours of a 1000cc Thruxton Sport being in the pipeline - seriously!!

If not 2013 (seems unlikely) then 2014 ?

I've had this a couple of times, I assumed it was because I had turned on the ignition with the side stand down, then put the stand up before pressing the start button. I now turn the ignition on after i put the stand up, and it hasn't done it since. I assumed the ignition system brain was getting confused!

If they make it too modern and sporty it will loose its character... just get the beautiful green one!
