BMW of N. Dallas may be the largest European bike dealer in my area, but they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I recently purchased a new bike from those guys and immediately began upgrading. During one of my upgrade purchases for $500, I wrote a check. The check ended up bouncing, so I called them and said I would be there the next day to handle the situation. The next morning, before I could get there, the owner called me and told me that he was going to repo. my bike if I didn't show up immediately with cash. When I arrived at the shop, I told him that I didn't appreciate him threatening to repo. my bike when the purchase had nothing to do with the bike, it was for parts. He got up in my face, told me I needed to grow up, and threatened to kick my ass. What kind of way is this to run a business? I had just spent 10K in there two weeks prior. I will never use that shop again. I am now using RPM cycles in Dallas, which is a very nice shop.

RPM will treat you right. You might also check EuroSport cycle in FW.

No one likes the idea of waiting on someone who owes them money. For some business people, the solution is to threaten immediate action.

The best thing to do is to avoid writing checks that won't clear, or use a credit card.

I have had pretty good luck with Plano BMW. I dont go there much except for oil changes and service, but the Triumph mechanic always remembers my name when he sees me. Even over the phone he recognizes my voice.

But I will say that sometimes when I call and ask for the service department, I can wait a very long time before someone grabs the phone. I have also seen the mechanics get into heated discussions with management right in front of customers.

My experience with this dealer is generally been very positive.

my two cents

I have had good service from them, I have gotten a Rocket in August and just got our daughter a T-100 last weekend. Being from out of town they schedule me in on Saturday and have done everthing I asked for. Even help me do some work on the Rocket over the phone so I wouldnt have to come down there. My only complaint is that they don't carry any of the Triumph clothing, do the other two dealers there?

Check out Eurosport in Fort Worth. They are as good as it gets when it comes to motorcycle shops. Tony can do anything you need when it comes to building bikes. He just finished a 904 Thruxton, upgrades all the way around. The only real motorcycle shop I have found in the Fort Worth area.
