I talked to the folks at Clinton Cycles today. It sounds like Triumph wanted them to buy more bikes this year - and they weren't moving everything they were getting as it was. Triumph took their inventory and moved it to Chesapeake. It seems to have been a mutual thing. They will still service Triumphs, though not warranty service. It is too bad - I like their team and they are close to me, though would still use them for non-warranty work.

Sorry there is no where close around Richmond Va for Triumph warranty work. D&D Cycles located in Norfolk is a small two man shop, but the greatest Dealership I have ever the pleasure to do business with. Great service, fair prices, and they know Triumph.........

This is good info, just sad to hear.
I went to a dealership a few months ago and he had stopped selling them. Mentioned the dealership in Winchester and he said they no longer sell them and Clinton was probably the closest dealership to go check out some Speed Triples.

Speaking of the DC/MD area, anyone know what happened to "The Dirt Shop" on rt.1 in College Park? Seems they've closed up shop..

I meet a fellow who takes his T100 to Myers Cycle in Kensington MD (around the DC Beltway near the Mormon Temple). He said they do great service. I haven't been there myself. Perhaps it's worth Googling.

Update: I just ventured into Chesapeake Cycle in Annapolis yesterday. They have a nice inventory of Triumphs, in addition to Victory which is the other major brand they sell. They are about to move to a larger and more visible location around the corner. One thing that really impressed me about Chesapeake is the number of demo bikes they have. If you want to test ride a Triumph, this is the place.
Mike, one of the partners, told me they finally got approved in May as a dealer after 8 years of applying. As mentioned before on this thread, when the Clinton dealership stopped selling Triumphs, it probably hastened Chesapeake's approval by Triumph, and they got some of the inventory.
From what I can tell, they have great customer service. Their success with Victory (they say they are the largest regional dealer) demonstrates they know how to serve a specialty brand. Since it's easier for me to get to than Pete's in Baltimore, I'm gonna try their service department the next time I need to take my Bonnie in.

I was in there today and yesterday. They seem to have a good quantity, though I look forward to seeing their selection when they finally move!

They never kept anything in stock. Everything was ordered by the customer/service dept when needed. Keeps costs down

Subscribing. I live in Woodbridge and hope to buy a 2013 Striple R when they are available. I'm just not sure from where I would purchase. There's no way I'm going to B'more, so I guess Chesapeake Cycles is the place, based on what I've seen hear. I guess it would be way to much to ask for a good dealer in Manassas to get sorted in time...
