Does anyone know of aftermarket mufflers for the bike? As I was putting my centerstand on, and you have to take the exhaust systems off, and I pulled the snuffers, for lack of a better term, out of the pipes and it has even a crappier sound than normal. I know Triumph has some "off road exhaust" but there must be someone who has a product to give it a good throatie sound. :???:

You can check with danddexhaust.com. You'll have to make sure they cover your year and make sure to listen to the mpeg sound track of a Thunderbird with there mufflers.

Last summer I installed a set of Toga peashooter style slip on mufflers. This aftermarket exhuast is basically a straight thru pipe without baffles (as far as I can tell). These are LOUD and give the bike a whole different character. You can really appreciate the unique sound of the triple. My dealer obtained them for me. I believe Toga's are made in England. Not sure of who is the US distributor. Check them out. :-D

The aftermarket pipes are pure British-made pipes for the would-be BSAs and Nortons.

If you find something besides Togas or Triumph offroads let me know. I have been looking in vain for something that keeps the stock look with the right sound and a reasonable price. :-D

I went with the Triumph off roads. Yes they were pricey but the sound is beautiful and the performance did improve.
