I flew to Pennsylvania and bought an '02 Sprint ST from a fellow RAT member. Hit the road and headed home and did 870 miles the first day with no problems. Stopped in Chicago to see my sister and her family and stayed overnight. Got up the next day and headed for home. Made it six miles and the engine light came on. Ran fine so I crept back to my sisters and called the guy I bought the bike from. He put me in touch with his dealer Martin Motorsports in Pottstown PA. They were really nice, but couldn't help me much from 870 miles away. They did take the time to give me the names, locations and phone numbers for nine Triumph dealers in the Chicago area. I called Greg at Motor Cycle Center in Villa Park IL, as it was the dealer nearest my sisters, at 11:00 AM on a Saturday and explained my problem. They gave me directions and told me to bring it right over and they would look at it. When I got there the place was crawling with bikes and people. These guys were more busy than one armed paper hangers with the crabs, but they got my bike in and checked it out right away. Turned out to be a low voltage fault code, probably due to the battery being replaced the day before I picked up the bike as far as could be told. Everything else checked out and I was good to go. My tank bag front strap buckle had broken on the way over so they directed me to a sporting goods store between there and the interstate. Greg wasn't going to charge me, but I insisted so he said five bucks and I gave him ten. I'd highly recommend these guys to anyone! They went out of their way to help me out of a jam 500 miles from home. Thanks again guys! My sister doesn't really care for motorcycles, but afterward she commented on how nice all the staff and customers had been. This is what motorcycling is all about. Made me proud to ride a Triumph! :upthumb: :-D
